  • Where is UK Tech-Fest?
    UK Tech-Fest is held at Newark Showground, which is in Newark on Trent between Lincoln and Nottingham. The post code for your sat nav is NG24 2NY. Our Travel page has a map that you can get directions from.
  • Are day tickets available?
    Yes. Go to our ticket page to get yours!
  • Where can I buy tickets?
    Either click the Tickets link in the top right corner of the site or go to our ticket page. We will also have some tickets available at our Box Office upon entry to the festival.
  • Will I be able to buy tickets at the event?
    Yes. There will be a limited amount of tickets available upon entry.
  • I have a full-time carer or need a personal assistant to attend, do they have to buy a ticket too?
    No, carers and personal assistants can attend for free. You can get one of these tickets when you purchase your own ticket to the festival. Please get in touch to let us know the name of the person accompanying you and to send us your proof of ID, such as benefits letter, blue badge or disabled bus pass.   • If I have a day camping, when is the camping for?
    A day camping ticket must be accompanied by a day festival ticket and camping is only allowed for the night of the festival ticket. e.g. if you have a day festival ticket for Friday, you can only arrive on Friday and camp Friday night and must leave the grounds by 12pm the following day, Saturday.
  • Can I bring my own food and drinks and alcohol?
    Yes, you can. We allow strictly 1 crate of beer/lager/cider per person and 1 litre of spirits or wine. NO GLASS BOTTLES are allowed on site and security will search for and confiscate any glass bottles found upon entering the festival.
  • What if my injure myself at the festival or feel unwell?
    Security or Stewards will be your first point of contact for first aid. They will have direct contact to the Newark Community First Aiders who provide on site first aid at all times throughout the event. The Newark Community First Aiders are located in the centre of the campsite. During the event you can contact them directly 24/7 on 07811 390359
  • Can I drive my car to by my tent?
    We do not allow vehicles in the campsite, unless they belong to crew or an emergency vehicle, or are pre-arranged camper van or vehicles belonging to disabled attendees. The car park is a 2 minute walk from the campsite so for most people this does not cause any problem.
  • I've lost something, is there a lost and found?
    Lost property is held at the Box Office on the main gate. If it is not there, they will notify stewards to keep watch for the item and will alert other points around the festival in case it gets handed in elsewhere.
  • Can I bring my camper van?
    If you wish to bring a camper van, please purchase a camper van pass. Each person sleeping in the vehicle must have a full weekend camping ticket. Once onsite you will not be able to leave the site until Monday.
  • Will I be able to buy merchandise at the festival?
    Yes. We can't tell you which artists will be selling their merch there but most do. We will also have a large range of UK Tech-Fest merch available including exclusive festival items. If you want to stock up your festival merch before the festival please visit the Merch link in our menu items.
  • What food and drink is available at the festival?
    We have a number of vendors who return to the festival every year and most also provide vegetarian and vegan options. These range from woodfired pizza, to coffee vendors, from Chinese to fish and chips and so much more inbetween. Drinks are available from the bar in the central market area in the festival, the big red bus outside and the third stage.
  • Can I bring my camera?
    Due to health and safety issues we do not allow ticket holders to bring DSLRs, tripods, or any kind of professional camera or lighting equipment. If you are taking photos or filming around the site please respect people’s privacy of those who may not want to be captured.   • Can I bring my dog or other pet to the festival?
    No pets, excluding guide dogs, are allowed to be brought on-site by ticket holders.
  • Will there be a lot of stage clashes during the festival?
    No. We operate our main and second stages in an alternating manner so you can watch as many artists as you like.
  • Can I use a bbq, stove or have an open fire at the festival?
    We do not allow any open fires on site. Disposable barbecues, hexi stoves and small, portable gas cooking stoves must be used on the concrete paths only and not on the grass. We do not allow large gas cylinders to be brought on site. Stewards and security will immediately put out any open fires and the ticket holders responsible may be asked to vacate the site.   • Will there be cash machines available?
    Yes, we can do cashback at the Tech-Fest merch table.
  • Are there showers at the festival?
    Yes. We have showers at the festival and these are free.
  • Does UK Tech-Fest have an age restriction?
    No, we welcome everyone of any age. Children under 16 go free, however they must be accompanied by a full paying adult. Please note under 16s must have valid ID to prove their age. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a full paying adult.
  • What time must I leave the festival site?
    Day ticket holders must vacate the site at the end of the afterparty (usually before 2am). Weekend ticket holders must vacate the festival grounds by 12pm on the Monday.
  • What is the nearest train station?
    You can reach Newark North Gate station directly via London, Newcastle, Leeds, Peterborough, Doncaster, Grantham, Retford, Lincoln and Collingham. You can reach Newark Castle station directly via Lincoln, Leicester, London St Pancreas and Nottingham. To get from the train station to the Showground (2.6 miles away), a taxi is the best form of transport.
  • What time does the festival open and close?
    Doors will open to the public at 10am on the Thursday and the first band will start at 12pm. Doors open at 10am every day for day ticket holders. Last entry each day is 9.30pm. If you arrive after 9:30pm we cannot guarantee you entry, but if we can facilitate it you will be charged a £25 per person surcharge. Weekend tickets/campers can come and go all weekend at any time.
  • What Is UK Tech-Fest?
    UK Tech-Fest is a progressive and technical metal outdoor music festival. The festival was formed in 2011 on the vision of creating a festival centred around musical innovation, creativity and diversity. Since 2012 we have seen headliners such as Sikth, The Black Dahlia Murder, The Acacia Strain, Northlane, Animals as Leaders, Between the Buried and Me, Protest The Hero. Alongside nearly 70 bands across 4 days there will be workshops and after-parties featuring a super jam and the famous Techeoke! Come and join the family, we'll see you there!
  • Can my band play UK Tech-Fest?
    If you’d like to apply to play at the festival click on Apply to Play in the menu to complete the application form. We will only be able to reply to bands/artists that we are interested in booking, due to the large volume of applications we receive.
  • How can I find out about accessibility facilities?
    Newark Showground has disabled access toilets. The site is flat and all the paths around the site are suitable for wheelchair use. Please visit the Newark Showground website to read more about the site's facilities. Any disabled persons with a ticket can have their carer / personal assistant / personal companion go free. We can also arrange a separate camping area so you can camp next to your car and have easy access to the festival, if required.
